We spent Easter weekend in the glorious sunshine playing make believe under the dappled shade of the trees. Watching Olive and my niece it took me right back to the magic of dress up days with my sister Caryl. We spent hours lost in improvised play outside in the fresh air until the call of supper time. It’s uplifiting to know that some things never change.
I love taking photos, but when Olive is playing she is far happier in her own world that the centre of mine so this weekend I felt honoured and thrilled to be granted the chance to capture a little piece of pixie magic.
Olive and Cerys rummaged through my old suitcase in a clearing in the wood and put their own costumes together each with an individual sense of exactly who they wanted to be that day.
