Ever since we knew that we had made it to the final running for Best For Children in the Telegraph Best Small Shop Awards we have been wondering who we are going to bump into on the 22nd February. Well chuffed to see out of 20 shops shortlisted 3 of them are from our own neighbourhood of Hackney that is becoming a network of villages that are rough and ready around the edges with an honesty and spirit that is hard to beat. We especially love that Hackney is in the running for the Best Cornershop – just goes to prove the passion and creativity that we have out there. Spreading like wild fire new shops are opening every week on the strip between Stoke Newington and Dalston, around London Fields and Mare Street. Whats the betting that next year there aren’t even more Hackney shops in the running.
Have a great weekend and celebrate you local shops.
